Jasmine Sambac Absolute - Jasminum sambac
Jasmine Sambac Absolute is a premium floral extract obtained from the intensely fragrant blossoms of Jasminum sambac, often called "white gold" in India. The flowers are harvested at sunrise and processed by solvent extraction to produce a concrete, which is then refined into this absolute for use in perfumery.
Its aroma profile is rich, sweet and narcotic: fruity-floral and green at the top, evolving into an intensely warm white-floral heart with orange-blossom and honey/tea facets, and finishing with a soft animalic, musky depth. Jasmine Sambac adds exotic, sunny and sensual character to perfumes and is widely used in modern floral, oriental and gourmand compositions.
In fine fragrance creation, this absolute works as a powerful heart note for white florals, luxury bouquet structures and sensual "narcotic" accords. It brings natural complexity, diffusive warmth and long-lasting presence (often over 180 hours on a smelling strip), even at low dosages.
